Parliament of the World’s Religions is Connecting Hearts on Climate Change

The Parliament of the World's Religions released a video this week, encouraging people of faith to 'reclaim the heart of our humanity' at this year's proceeding. Parliament Chairman, Imam Malik Mujahid, shared "Human beings have tremendous potential for change, and Parliament is about bringing that message of hope at a difficult time," and that time is now.

October 15 – 19, 80 countries will be represented by various faith leaders at the Parliament of the World's Religions, a convening charged with inspiring leadership through interfaith efforts to remedy climate change. This initiative, powered by a singular, moral message to care for God's creation has inspired faith leaders for decades as Susan Soleil, Executive Director of Utah Interfaith Power and Light points out through various instances of faith facilities adopting sustainable practices.

'As people of faith, we believe in God and the power of people' to make a drastic change for the climate, just as Blessed Tomorrow leader, Jim Wallis has done through his ministry and operations at Sojourners. Sign up to attend this year's Parliament of the World's Religions and don't miss hearing why the climate is depending on people of faith to act.
