Announcing the 2015 MomentUs Leadership Summit, May 20-21

By path2positive

ecoAmerica is pleased to announce our 5th annual leadership summit. Path to Positive, the 2015 MomentUs Leadership Summit, is being held on May 20th and 21st, 2015 in Washington, DC.

The Path to Positive begins with the simple premise that the greatest obstacle to our nation leading on climate change isn’t a lack of technical, economic, or political solutions; it’s a lack of public support, political will and moral guidance.

Meeting this challenge starts with the realization that things have changed - peak oil and expensive renewables are history. Nonetheless, the climate changes we expected in the distant future are happening today and we’re not going to win the battle as a special interest movement.

It’s about all of us, now, creating a tipping point for meaningful, solution centered, creation care.

Path to Positive, the 2015 MomentUs Leadership Summit, is an invitation-only gathering of 200 national leaders from faith, health, higher education, business, municipalities, conservation/environment, and the social sciences. Collectively these leaders represent the great diversity of our nation, and reach millions of Americans. They will come together for a day of sharing and collaboration to expand and galvanize climate change leadership in America. National speakers will be complemented by cross- and intra-sector work sessions to empower leaders to chart plans to work individually and collectively to engage Americans on climate change. See the list of last year’s attendees here.

This year, leaders will discuss what’s working, what’s not, and collaborate on plans for where to go from here.

With this summit, ecoAmerica will further our work to empower and inspire faith leaders to build a critical mass of public support and catalyze political will for American climate solutions.
