You Are Invited to the 2024 National Climate and Faith Forum

Congregations actively living out their faith create a ripple effect on the world with the greatest impact in local communities. There has never been a more important time for congregations to lead, reminding ourselves and each other of the power of God. There are over 300,000 houses of faith in the United States, more than twice the number of cities, school districts, post offices, and Starbucks locations combined. Congregations serve as gathering spaces and backbones of local communities, with a legacy of organizing, serving, and leading social change.

Congregations play an enormous role in supporting community connection, meeting basic needs, responding to disasters and emergencies, and channeling resources to communities through philanthropy. Close community connections mean that they know the critical needs of their towns and excel at responding. Congregations provide food programs, clothing closets, safe places to gather, youth programs, safe houses for women and children, programs for seniors, low-income housing, refugee resettlement, addiction programs, health clinics, jobs programs, support for the queer community, and so much more. But today climate change is impacting all congregations and their ministries in a myriad of ways financially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

For these reasons, we are excited to invite you to be a part of an inspiring and transformative experience on April 16, 2024. Join other people of faith from your community and across the U.S. at the National Faith + Climate Forum for purposeful discussions, practical workshops, and opportunities for creation care and climate activation. Register now!

Local hosts nationwide are opening their doors to provide space for faith leaders to gather for creation care engagement and the live-stream of the National Faith + Climate Forum. Click here to learn more and to sign up to be a local host.

This is not just an event; it’s a movement. By joining in person at a location near you, you’ll be part of a transformative experience to deepen your faith, connect with fellow faith leaders, strengthen relationships, support your congregation, and take accessible and meaningful actions toward caring for creation and just and equitable climate solutions in your congregation.

Everyone is welcome, whether you have been caring for creation for some time, or just getting started. There is so much we can do to care for creation in our congregation and community. We all can be part of the solution.
