Vote for Our Future

We are one week away from Election Day 2024.

There has never been a more important election for climate justice than this one. Casting your ballot and encouraging and supporting others to do the same may be the most important climate action you take in 2024. Voting is a right and responsibility that we should take very seriously. I was blessed to live in Costa Rica in the early 1990’s during a presidential election where every citizen of age was required to vote. They took that right and responsibility very seriously, and the entire country celebrated with parades and fiestas. It was a joy-filled day.

There is still time to support Get Out the Vote efforts!

  1. Make your plan to vote by November 5th! Vote early if you have the option.  Congratulations to all who have already voted!
  2. Talk about, preach about, and use social media to encourage others to vote.
  3. Provide voting resources like the Voter Assessment Tool for those in your network.
  4. Text or call your friends and family to remind them to vote.
  5. Provide rides to people in your congregation and neighborhood to help people get to the polls.

Let us all be the change we hope to see in the world by being informed and active in the election process and helping others do the same. The future of the health of God’s good earth is at stake.
