Blessed Tomorrow is made up of denominations and organizations of many faiths. We have different names for the Divine. We have different sacred texts, holy days, and worship practices. But we all share one home called earth and the desire for a beautiful, flourishing world for future generations. With that in mind, a multi-faith coalition began meeting to figure out how we could all work together as people of faith to advance care for creation and climate justice. From many hours of hard work and collaboration, the One Home One Future campaign was created.

We have seven years to meet the goals set by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) of a 45% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030. But there is no more perfect number for people of faith than seven. There is no one better to lead on climate than people of faith, because we answer to a higher power and purpose. Working together, seven years is exactly the time we need.

One Home One Future supports visible leadership toward a flourishing future for all people. Free banners are given to the first 1,000 congregations who join the campaign. One Home One Future provides 7 pathways for action for congregations and faith leaders of all ages. Resources from many faith traditions are provided for each pathway from a full resource hub. Everyone who joins will be invited to join a private, online community platform called Mobilize for sharing ideas and inspiration, resources and opportunities, and connections with people of faith from across the country.

Hear from Rev. Dr. Jim Antal, a denominational leader, climate activist, public theologian, and chair of Blessed Tomorrow’s Executive Committee on the importance of One Home One Future. And then listen to what many faith leaders are saying about One Home One Future. All congregations are invited to sign-on, whether new to creation care or quite seasoned. Clergy and faith leaders, especially youth are encouraged to learn more and join the One Home One Future movement.

The national launch for One Home One Future is October 4, 2023 at 7 pm ET, 4 pm PT. You don’t want to miss it. Register for the launch now.
