Faith Leaders Answer the Call on Climate Change Through Blessed Tomorrow

By path2positive

The Blessed Tomorrow Leadership Circle, comprised of more than 20 faith leaders from around the country, is pleased to announce the official launch of a new national program, Blessed Tomorrow. Blessed Tomorrow empowers faith leaders from across religious traditions to both steward God’s creation and inspire their congregations, communities, and other leaders to do the same.

"People look to you to lead them spiritually, and climate change is a spiritual matter," says Rev. Joel Hunter, Senior Pastor at Northland: A Church Distributed and Blessed Tomorrow Leadership Circle member. Blessed Tomorrow serves to allow leaders to turn this sentiment into reality.

The Blessed Tomorrow program is for people of faith, from people of faith. Blessed Tomorrow empowers leaders to lead and engage others on climate solutions in ways that align with their faith tradition and values, no matter whether they have led on climate in the past, or are just getting started. The program website provides an array of tools and resources that leaders can use right away to inspire and empower their members and communities. It also enables faith leaders to share and exchange best practices for engaging faith communities in climate solutions.

The founding leaders of Blessed Tomorrow include preeminent Evangelical Christian, Catholic, Protestant, Muslim and Jewish leaders who are committed to engaging their communities and calling on their peers to support practical solutions to create a healthy future for us all.
