Faith Climate Action Week Goes ‘Beyond Paris’

By path2positive

It's that time of year again - when our Partner organization, Interfaith Power and Light hosts Faith Climate Action Week, April 15-24. The nine-day national initiative surrounding Earth Day (April 22) connects, inspires and motivates climate action within faith communities across the U.S., offering a plethora of tools, tips, and guides for revamping or starting your faith-based climate program.

Previously known as the Preach-In, Faith Climate Action Week provides an opportunity for every size church, masjid, synagogue or temple to join the national discussion on climate. Interfaith Power and Light offers everything a congregation might need for the week of events including materials to help you write a creation care sermon, join a national prayer, host movie screenings, and so much more!

Don't have the time or resources to host an event? Find one in your area to attend with IPL's interactive map. Select your state and find events near you or add an event you are hosting to the list so that others may join. This feature is a great opportunity for community building!

IPL has taken their outreach a step further by providing resource supplies which you may order here. These supplies will help any congregation get started, even if it's their first climate event.

Visit the Blessed Tomorrow blog every Thursday leading up to the event as we highlight a new feature of IPL's Faith Climate Action Week, offering guidance on how your congregation may best implement these astounding tools, tips, and resources. Let's make this year the biggest one ever!
