Congratulations to the American Climate Leadership Awards Winners!

By Anita Fête Crews

Thank you to all who joined us at the American Climate Leadership Awards Virtual Ceremony on March 25! Congratulations to the winner, CALPIRG Students, who worked on eight University of California campuses to win a UC-wide commitment to 100% renewable energy by 2025. Congratulations too, to the runner up, Regeneración, a Pajaro Valley, CA based non-profit that co-creates relevant and relatable climate solutions with the people most at risk in the region, primarily the Mexican-heritage farmworker community.

Watch the Awards

You can watch the awards on-demand to hear from Judging Committee Chair Gina McCarthy, see short videos featuring the finalists, and watch the announcement of the runner up and winner.

The finalists share $155,000 in awards in recognition of their work, including $25,000 for Regeneración as runner up and $50,000 for CALPIRG Students as the winner! We can all learn from them and apply that learning in our own communities. Learn more about the finalists here and join us at the rescheduled American Climate Leadership Summit 2020 (ACLS2020) August 26-27 in Washington, DC, when we will be honoring the awardees in person.
