Blessed Tomorrow is honored to support, and excited to journey with 47 faith groups for climate action in local communities through small grants. The over 2,000 attendees of the 2025 National Faith + Climate Forum were invited to apply for seed grants that support forming and strengthening relationships for action in communities across the US around creation care and climate justice.

The 2025 Getting Outside the Walls: Congregational Grants for Climate Action in Local Communities will have big impacts in these communities. Some of the projects that were awarded grants include:

  1. Community Gardens and Cooking Classes– community gardens in apartment buildings, underserved communities receiving food + education, cooking classes, and community meals;
  2. Youth Education– vacation bible school, multi-generational projects with an emphasis on youth education, youth camping that brings young people into nature with climate education, and a video series for camps in 3 different languages;
  3. Restoring Natural Spaces– repopulating fish population in local streams, pollinator gardens, butterfly gardens, and caring for the earth through Indigenous wisdom; and
  4. Advocacy– engagement and deepening knowledge in the community through clean-up projects, community activism, helping other congregations start green teams, and distributing children’s books about creation care.

The impacts from these 47 projects amplify and expand the great work of the nineteen 2024 projects. Watch the 2024 grant projects video, and get inspired to take action in your community.

Faith communities are on the front lines of the impacts of climate change, and also have the ability and responsibility to work for climate solutions and ensure a healthy future for all. Additionally, each project is being carried out by two or more congregations and/or organizations building connections and relationships that support creation care and resilience.

Please mark your calendar for the 2026 National Faith + Climate Forum which will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2026. Plan to be an in-person host for your local community. Hosts stream the live forum and can qualify for financial support and seed grants. We hope to see you there!
