United Methodist Church
The people of The United Methodist Church are part of the second largest Protestant denomination in the United States. With a worldwide connection of approximately 12.8 million members, the mission of the Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Local churches and extension ministries of the Church provide the most significant arenas through which disciple-making occurs. The Four Areas of Focus of UMC are engaging in ministry with the poor, improving global health, developing principled Christian leaders, and creating new and renewed congregations.
