Rev. Michael Malcom

Michael Malcom is the Founder/Executive Director of The People's Justice Council and a licensed and ordained UCC Minister. He is a pastor at Rush Memorial Congregational UCC in Atlanta, GA and the Environmental Justice Representative for the Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ. He is an impassioned faith leader who sees Climate Change as a moral emergency, and environmental justice as the remedy. He believes that the only way we achieve this is through building power from the grassroots up. The People’s Justice Council does this through education and advocacy from a faith-based perspective. He is interfaith and interdisciplinary in his approach when organizing and advocating for justice. It is his passion to shape the narrative around Environmental Justice and Climate Change in a way that calls all our attention to a sense of urgency so that the masses become environmentally conscious.
