Blessed Tomorrow is pleased to announce Let's Lead, a best practices guide and collection of success stories featuring faith communities that have taken action on climate change and engaged their congregations and surrounding communities on solutions. Seven success stories will be selected for the guide, spanning a range of leadership from the community level to institutional and national. One exemplary leader will receive a stipend to attend the 2017 American Climate Leadership Summit in October in Washington D.C, where he or she will receive an award and be recognized in front of national health, faith, higher education, business and government leaders.. All seven selected stories will be featured in Blessed Tomorrow communications, which may include media outreach.
Blessed Tomorrow Let’s Lead success stories will be selected through a submission process and have three components. They will: 1) include implemented climate solutions initiatives and/or climate change impact reductions; and 2) feature successful efforts to engage constituents in the program or climate solutions. If you believe your program meets this criteria, please fill out the submission form for consideration! Ideal applicants will:
- Include replicable, applicable, and practical climate solutions or climate impact reduction initiatives
- Demonstrate successful engagement (communicating with, inviting participation, educating) of individuals in the program
- Feature diversity and inclusion. Efforts to assist, include and/or highlight vulnerable populations and those who are disproportionately impacted by the impacts of climate change are encouraged.
Please follow the link below to submit your success story. We recommend answering the prompts in a separate document and pasting your responses when you are ready to submit. If you have any questions or comments, please contact our Research Coordinator, Paige Fery. The deadline for submissions is June 15th, 2017. Thank you!
