Adjust the Thermostat

(resize font)

Set the thermostat a degree or two warmer in the summer, and a degree or two cooler in the winter to save money on utility bills. Heating and cooling is one of the largest uses of energy for congregations, and each degree of higher temperature can save about 3% on costs. Keeping the thermostat a bit cooler or warmer is a good deed that will go a long way for your budget and the planet.
